Fire Door Inspection Scheme

Under the Fire Door Inspection Scheme, 677 doors have been inspected at 31 different sites with 2506 faults being identified. Common problems faced by the inspectors included, fire and smoke seals missing, over one third had incorrect signage, excessive gaps, unsuitable hinges and incorrect glazing.

Mann McGowan Installations now have a qualified Fire Door Inspector, who can survey fire and escape doors that fall within the Regulatory Reform (Fire Saferty) Order, and produce comprehensive reports for clients highlighting any deficiencies on fire doors.

The inspector has qualified with the BWF GAI Fire Door Inspection Scheme and is bound by the FDIS Code of Conduct.
